MEKONG DELTA
Based in Ben Tre. Run by the people who live here.
Most Mekong Delta tours go to My Tho. We don't.
The crowded spots — My Tho, Cai Rang, Cai Be — are where most operators take their groups of 20 or 40.
We're based in Ben Tre, quieter and less visited. Our guides grew up here or came back here — they run these tours themselves, not as middlemen for a company in Saigon. Our scooter routes go through villages where locals actually work. You won't see another tourist group on our routes. Our canals have no other tourist boats. Our lunch is cooked that morning by a family we've known for years. We don't stop at shops — ever.
Maximum 8 people. Always.

If you find yourself thinking: “I want to visit the Mekong Delta, but not in a touristy way.” You want to discover the authentic side of this beautiful region — its nature, culture, lifestyle, and food — in a way that feels relaxed, fun, and truly enjoyable. You’re looking for tours that still give you freedom, with guides who feel more like local friends — people who can take you to hidden places and share stories and experiences you wouldn’t easily find on your own. Or maybe you simply want to lie back comfortably on a boat, watching the Mekong River and its peaceful scenery slowly drift by. Then you’re in the right place — we’re here to offer you exactly that. Honest thoughts. We Mekong Zigzag, don't feel that we don’t actually do that much. The Mekong’s nature, people, and food are already authentic as they are—we don’t need to make them authentic. We simply recognize their real beauty and feel it is worth sharing with you, not as customers, but as friends. Come hang out with us on a tour, or stay with us overnight at our homestay. Live like a local, eat what we eat, enjoy what we enjoy, and connect with one another. Isn’t that joyful? ^^

What our customers said on Google Map
"This Mekong Delta tour was one of the highlights of my family’s trip to Vietnam, top day of all for some! Dzung was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the region. We loved how it focused on low-tourist, authentic areas. We visited quiet villages, local markets, and waterways that felt untouched and real, not staged for visitors. The pace was relaxed, the scooter drivers were awesome, the experiences felt meaningful, and we all learned so much about daily life in the Delta and of course coconuts."
From Tara D'Arcy

"Such an amazing experience! Honestly, it was the best tour I have ever had in my life. We were only three people in the group, with our guide Kane, who is truly passionate about his job. Kane is always happy, smiling, helpful, and kind. He took us by motorbike to a small villages to visit local people and kept us informed about many interesting facts and local life. It was a pleasure to meet Kane, and I can highly recommend this tour! 😊"
